Crack-Me-Up Comedy with Steve Day

September 23, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

£10 - £12

Live stand up comedy featuring up to 5 top acts every show handpicked from the UK circuit.

Each show will be hosted by westcountry comedian Tom Glover and feature something for everyone from gag merchants and storytellers to musical and sketch comedy.

As well as headline acts from the national circuit and the odd familiar face from TV and radio there will also be some of the best local talent the westcountry has to offer.

MC – Tom Glover
One of the westcountry’s most sought after MCs, Tom Glover is a regular host at more than half a dozen clubs across the south west. Burst onto the scene in 2010 as part of the South West Comedian of the Year competition Tom went on to reach the final of the Bath Comedy Festival Competition and win the Swanage competition and is now a regular on the circuit known for his quick witted audience interaction and his hilarious tales of westcountry life.

Opener – Jack Campbell
Despite being in his early 20s Jack Campbell already has gigged internationally from Estonia to Australia, is a former English Comedian of the Year and an Edinburgh Fringe Festival veteran having attended every year since 2011. One of the most exciting new names on the comedy circuit today and hotly tipped to be a household name of the future.

Middle – Bob Wildlife and Alex Mahoney
Character comedian Bob Wildlife is little England’s answer to Steve Irwin. A crazy nature obsessed disgraced wildlife ranger with many axes to grind. Alex Mahoney is one of the newest talents to emerge on the south west circuit and has already reached the finals of many major comedy competitions.

Headliner – Steve Day
Headlining the first show will be BBC Radio 4 regular Steve Day, a stalwart of the UK comedy scene and the country’s only deaf comedian.
A favourite among comedy goers up and down the country, Steve Day is a master at finding the humour in everyday life and has a never ending stream of tales from his life as a deaf man with teenage kids paving his way in showbiz.
